Where is scan data stored locally on self-hosted runZero?

Modified on Tue, Jan 30 at 12:16 PM

If you have a self-hosted runZero console set up to store scan data locally, rather than in S3, the files will be held under the path given in the configuration file as RUNZERO_STORAGE_PATH. Inside that directory will be a rumble-scans directory containing scan data.

Within the rumble-scans directory, the path to the scan data files is the organization ID, then the site ID. The scan data files will match scan_*.json.gz. The filename is assembled from the task ID, then the site ID again.

Scan data files can be loaded into runZero using the Import button on the inventory page.

Deleting old scan data files to save disk space won't cause any problems with runZero, other than being unable to download the scan data from the appropriate tasks.
