runZero will detect and ignore assets that look bogus according to various heuristics.
- VPNs and firewalls sometimes respond to every single IP address in a subnet, even though there is no actual device at that address.
- Some systems respond on every single port, or on very wide range of ports, but at a single IP address.
There are a number of other similar situations. In general, all of these "ignored" services did not represent anything real on the network. If you believe you have encountered a situation where runZero ignored a device incorrectly, please contact support.
