The runZero search query syntax consists of search parameters, each followed by a colon and the value to be searched for. The text before the colon specifies where to search; the text after is the value to search for. For example: name:myserver
will search for the string “myserver” within the name attribute of your assets.
If you enter a search string with no parameter:
in front of it, you will get the message “Warning: one or more non-keyword search parameters were specified”. The system will attempt to provide some useful search results, but you should consider specifying where you want it to search.
Queries which don’t specify where to search cannot be run automatically in the background.
